Information for parents
Welcome to the Parents’ zone. From here you can find out more about our Parents’ Network Group, or access school information and policies.
We work closely in partnership with home and encourage parents and carers to come and discuss any ideas or concerns.
Many parents play an active role in the work of The Oaks, helping in class or accompanying educational visits. Parent/teacher consultations and “Parents in School” sessions are organised each term, we also have an Open Evening in the Summer Term.
Family Learning and parent workshops
We regularly run courses and events for parents and carers so they can not only develop their own skills, but also understand more about how they can help their child, both at school and home.
We run some very successful Family Learning courses at The Oaks, including “Keeping up with the children” in both Maths and English. These are aimed at supporting parents to appreciate the changes in the curriculum and the best strategies for supporting their children’s learning.
Details of our current and forthcoming events are available from the school office
Please contact the school office by E-mail or by giving us a call on 01293 527473 to arrange a viewing or ask any questions you may have.
